Voice Message from Dayna
The Energy of The Week - The High Priestess & Ace of Pentacles
I love it when tarot cards fly out of the deck—like today when two popped out instead of one. These cards, The High Priestess and Ace of Pentacles make a simple yet powerful pair. The High Priestess represents our inner world, intuition, and unseen forces, while the Ace of Pentacles symbolizes new beginnings and opportunities in the physical realm. This week’s message is clear: marry your inner wisdom with practical action to start creating what you desire. Crush crush, kids!
Energy Shift Tip
Your energy responds directly to the frequencies we emit, whether it’s joy, sadness, love, or anger. It doesn’t account for the reasons behind these emotions, like feeling sad due to a job loss—it simply mirrors the vibration we’re putting out. This is where the victim mindset can be particularly limiting. When we dwell on “why” something is happening, we reinforce a low-vibration energy that holds us back from creating positive change. Instead, try shifting your awareness from the reasons behind your feelings to the energy you want to cultivate. By consciously focusing on the vibe you want to project, you can attract more of the energy you want to feel, or of the thing you are calling into your reality.
Expansion Musings
Like many of us, the years 2020 to 2023 were some of the most challenging I’ve faced. My husband and I turned our lives upside down—moving to a new city, starting new businesses, welcoming two more children, buying a rental property, and relocating to a suburban home. During this period, we questioned everything, faced challenges we never anticipated, and were uncertain about WTF we were doing. Now that we’re on the other side, with a bit more clarity, I want to explore the energetic element that, in hindsight, created the most resistance and pain—a phenomenon I’ve come to call “Death by a Thousand Cuts.”
For those unfamiliar with this expression, it refers to a failure that occurs as a result of many minor problems. While each issue on its own may seem insignificant, their cumulative effect can be devastating, slowly draining energy until there’s nothing left. Our brains often focus on the big picture and the controllable factors based on past experiences. Yet, it’s usually the small, seemingly insignificant things—daily traffic, our physical environment, unexpected disruptions in childcare—that quietly deplete our energy over time. We may not notice the impact until we’re utterly drained.
Since these factors are a natural part of life, the key question becomes: how can we deal with them and harness their energy to improve our overall well-being?
Step 1 is awareness. We need to observe our daily lives without judgment to identify these energy drains. If we struggle to see them clearly, we can seek guidance from the universe or a higher power.
Step 2 is action:
Eliminate the sources of drain where possible—such as prioritizing 6-7 hours of sleep each night.
Reduce resistance by finding solutions to make these draining factors easier to manage—for example, relocating to reduce traffic and commute time.
As Nick and I began focusing on these minor “cuts” and taking things one day at a time, we found ourselves more energized, with greater clarity and a renewed sense of hope and excitement towards the future we're building together.
Quick Reframe
Through the lens of postpartum life, I’ve come to see this period not just as a time of adjustment but as an amazing opportunity to pause and take inventory of all the core areas of our lives. It’s a moment to reassess, make adjustments, and realign as needed. While I can only speak from my experience, I’ve noticed that the first 12 months after welcoming a new baby often brings uncertainty, change, and unknowns. It’s easy to spiral during this time, but the larger lesson I’ve uncovered is the transformative power of the pause.
In a world that constantly pushes us to move faster, achieve more, and never slow down, the pause becomes a radical act of self-care and intentional living. Many of us, myself included, have learned the hard way that this relentless pace is not only unenjoyable but also unsustainable and ineffective. By embracing the pause, we create space to recalibrate and move forward with greater clarity, purpose, and alignment. This practice, though born from postpartum, is universally applicable to many seasons of life—a reminder that sometimes, the most profound growth comes not from pushing ahead but from stepping back and allowing ourselves to breathe.
What We’re Excited About
Codie Sanchez is doing incredible work to “bring back Main Street” by educating people on how to buy businesses and create financial security through alternative paths. Her approach resonates deeply with me, as I’ve learned so much about alternative deal structures, business acquisition, and innovative ways to generate income — especially for modern-day women as I believe her playbook is an excellent, flexible yet secure solution for women (especially mamas) to make money and evolve our careers. Codie's message is refreshing in a world where VC-backed businesses dominate the narrative. The reality is venture capital and angel investing doesn’t make sense for that 99.9% of companies, or investors. Yet, so many women are being pushed toward this path, whether to build their business or to angel invest and “raise the collective.” Others remain in their “secure” 9-5 jobs, which often aren’t compatible with motherhood and don’t provide the financial return we need in 2024. Codie focuses on buying “boring” businesses; I’m currently obsessed with service-based companies as they generate a high income, tend to be recession-proof, and offer a fantastic opportunity to leverage our skills by optimizing existing operations with technology and digital marketing. If you’re curious, I’d start by following her on Instagram, check out her free biz buying course, or listening to her podcast.
Another session with Astrologer Ciela Wynter, who practices “Astro-therapy,” a unique approach that integrates astrology with therapy and coaching to identify challenges that can be transformed into opportunities and strengths. She also offers introductory birth chart readings. No matter where you are on your journey, I’m often asked about astrologers I’d recommend, and she is one of my absolute favorites. You can find all her services and book here.
I recently discovered the term collective effervescence from sociologist Émile Durkheim, and I absolutely love it. It describes the heightened energy and powerful sense of connection that arises when a group of people unites around a shared purpose or goal, reinforcing their common values. If you’ve ever been part of an amazing team, you know the high-vibe energy and exceptional results it can produce. In a time of increased loneliness and uncertainty, the question becomes: how can we cultivate more collective effervescence in our own lives?
5 Things We’re Doing To Raise Our Frequency
As we transition from summer to the fall / back-to-school season, I’m intentionally clearing my calendar of low and medium-priority tasks, prioritizing family and home to create more space and ease. Tip: Declutter your calendar and headspace as you approach fall / back-to-school week to decrease your stress and minimize the frenetic energy that it can bring to the household. This intentional focus will help you and your family start the new season with more calm, clarity, and connection.
ALL. THE. TIME. IN. NATURE. It's the best weather of the year, so we're spending as much time as possible in nature to keep our nervous system chilled out during the back-to-school/work chaos.
I’m taking time to reassess and update the internal operations, systems, and automation in both our home and work lives to align with the changing seasons and current needs. The core intention is to simplify and streamline, while also building in the flexibility to adapt as circumstances evolve, creating a more efficient, balanced, and adaptable foundation for the months ahead.
To Be Magnetic membership – I have been following Lacy Phillips for years and love her work, specifically that her techniques are backed by neuroscience. I find her membership structure to be a commitment, but I recently pulled the trigger and have loved doing the work. If you're into manifestation but don't know where to start, feeling stuck in your process, or looking for more structured practice, I'd recommend checking her monthly membership out to work through any blocks and call in whatever the f you're looking for in life.
Facetime-ing more – honestly, I don’t know why I don’t do it more. When we do it lights me up the MOST, especially when it’s one of our people from the past or present we don’t often see or talk.
